WWS Talk: Beavers - Nuisance or Opportunity

  • Estes Valley Community Center 660 Community Dr, Estes Park, CO 80517 (map)

Sherri Tippie is one of our country’s Beaver Believers, a group made up of 5 scientists and 1 hairdresser. That’s Sherri, who cuts inmates’ hair at Arapahoe County Jail. She has been trapping unwanted beavers in the Denver area and relocating them to the mountains of Colorado. As a keystone species, beavers enrich ecosystems and the resiliency of our watersheds, helping to combat climate change by adding to the water table.

This will be an IN-PERSON and ZOOM event. Please note that we are recommending attending in person as this will be a show and tell session and ZOOM may not be the ideal way to participate.
